Off to a New Year means lots of new things are starting up. There are so many amazing people among us starting new groups- especially in outreach. One thing in particular is if you're new to our church, or new to the Vineyard this is a great chance to come have dinner and let us get to know as well as for you to hear from Christy who we are as a church family. This past month has been amazing in outreach. We've had so many wonderful opportunities to bless and serve within our community. Our women's Christmas dinner was so fun! The house was packed with so many women! We had great fun! We also had our last Bag of Hope outreach for the year. Tonight is our 3rd annual Women's Christmas dinner & outreach as we pack into the Wimber's home at 6:30p. This is a great time of food, fellowship and 'fighting over the elephant gifts'! Be praying for us as this is our last outreach planned for 2008!

This week is the week of outreach! Great opportunities to bless our communities, and we're looking forward to it! Sunday 7th- Wednesday, 10th] is the time to bring gifts for the children for our Saturday Christmas dinner & outreach service in Anaheim. We still need gifts for kids under age 15. We have decided with all thats taking place in our cities that its best to focus on how to help rather than host a conference. People are reaching out and in need all around us for and this is an opportunity for us to focus on how we can serve. In fact, my encouragement to you is to look around as there are opportunities all around us to bless and reach out to those in need. We plan to do the conference next year in the Spring or Fall- but we will for sure let you know!

Christmas Outreach-Dec 13th This year we have decided to run a christmas dinner outreach in Cypress. A few of our church members have done this before and have had an amazing time and were able to bless many people. We will be serving Christmas Dinner, passing out presents to the children, and ministering to the people that come. We will need help with cooking meals, as well as presents for ages 0-13. Christy was with CBN this week and Monday night spent time with Gordon Robertson on his program that focuses on the Gifts of the Spirit. What Gordon is doing is really a great and much needed practical way to encourage people into 'Doin the Stuff.' What a great week we've had! Started off last Sunday with our two year anniversary, then our first women's group on Wednesday, where the Lord came & visited us in such a sweet way. Then that evening for our leadership prayer and worship & more prayer time was s powerful. Sean & I are off for a few days as we're going to Virginia to do some things. Please be praying as this will be the presentation at Regent University for many John Wimber materials. This week the Lord again has been reminding me the importance of staying close to His heart. So many times we face in this life things can feel unstable, and often scary. Staying close to the heart of God is the safest place to be. Whatever you may be facing this week, no matter how hard it may seem, remember that God alone is our strong tower and strength. He is the hope we hold to hold on too, that will never let you down.

Our worship community gathering with David Ruis Saturday was really great. It's amazing seeing everything grow and come together. To watch how God continues to add to us those that are called to the area of worship is such a privilege. Monday, July 28th, we're meeting at 5:00p at our current YLV offices to pack up and move to our new location off Prospect/Imperial in Yorba Linda. We got some great testimonies of healing's that took place Sunday. Wrist was healed; there was a word about a swollen tongue, and we got word later that one of our men had to head to the hospital instead of church, due to an allergic reaction that caused his tongue to swell! One of the young boys tummy was hurting, he said he spoke to the pain to go away, and it did-right away! Yeah God! Just an update for Reckless! We will be doing Reckless down in Huntington Beach through the rest of July. We had such a great time playing games, hanging out, cooking over the bonfire, worship, and baptisms, that we decided to do keep it going! We will be meeting at Huntington Beach off of Magnolia again, from 6:00-9:00 every Thursday. So much is happening under the leadership of Adriana with our young children's ministry, called Ignite! The last few months we've been asking the Lord about YLV serving in the Prison's in Orange County. Well, this week- through someone in our church- we got access to all 6 OC prisons--Not only did we get access- a day--a time--and a meeting with the head person over all the OC prisons--the Lord opened the door up in such a way- where it by-passed all the political steps and got us on the right road--in a matter of a few hours. Reckless has been a great time for the high school and young adults (check out the new pics). This last week, especially, was so powerful! Those that had never encountered the Holy Spirit before, had an encounter! It was a great time of ministry and worship. I encourage those of you who havn't come yet, to definitely go! Get filled up to turn around and do it in streets, in your schools, in the places you hang out! God wants to do miracles and we are His vessels!

Sunday morning church yesterday was one of those amazing Sundays! We did a fire tunnel at the end, to have the younger bless the old and then the older blessed the young- just about a 3 hour service! Lots of power, lots of blessing, and the room was so full of not only the power of God, it was so hot in there we had to open the doors, but everyone loving and blessing each other was the best part!

We had an awesome time with Danny & Sheri this past week. They came and did some teaching's on relationship as well as honor. It was great for our church and the feedback was so positive. At the end of the seminars, in ministry time, we had a prayer tunnel...Lady with a broken foot, limped in and jumped out! WOW! So much has happened since "The Cause." The Sunday after the conference, Sean [Wimber] woke up and couldn't stand, could barely walk, for some reason was really dizzy. We weren't sure what it was, he said he felt like he must have had a stroke! So we rushed to the hospital; and after tests, they said he had a severe case of vertigo. he felt horrible, and on the Thursday, still unable to move much, to really do anything- the doctor ordered an MRI. The 'Cause" was amazing! It was better than we even knew it would be! Through out the weekend, so much happened-- kids got saved, and on the Saturday morning, we saw many healing's take place. Feet grew, legs grew, crooked toe straightened out, hips healed, backs healed... and more! Then we took out 150 of those that signed up to do outreach, and we went and prayed for people at 4 different locations! Yes, we have room for the conference. The price is $30 for the weekend, $20 all day Saturday or $10 a session. You can sign up at the door, but we encourage you to go early! Registration is prior to each session, starts Friday night at 5p.
