Jr High Boys Outreach

Feb 12, 2009

We were able to talk to many people most

said no, but not all.  We did find several "Grandpa's".

Jake had written down the words given at the offices so he

was on the hunt for the "Grandpa" and "Little girl wearing

purple".  No grandpas wanted the prayer.  Sometimes adults

can be intimidating to young people for approaching so I

encouraged them to look for kids there own age.  Of course

we ended up near video games, etc.  I challenge them to ask

a young person if they wanted prayer.  Jake stepped out and

asked a kid.  The kid was Jakes age.  He wasn't sure what to

think and went to find his parents.  It was pretty cool to

see Jake ask and see the boldness and his heart for God, I

love it.  Additionally we had the opportunity to pray for an

older lady who said she had recieved some news about her

health.  We also were able to pray for a woman who had

several kids and we keep seeing her around the store.  She

said she would like patience.  So we offered up a prayer and

left her with a smile.  The boys did great!
