ignite (children's ministry)
Isaiah 60:22 - "And a little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation, I the LORD will hasten it in its time."
We believe our kids need to know God and His power right away in their young lives. They experience the same Holy Spirit as we do; there's no such thing as a ‘kid size Holy Spirit'.
We believe we must impart what we believe to the next generation, otherwise it will not continue. The most powerful children come from the families that engage their whole family going after God, but we also know that those that do not encounter God at an earlier age have a much harder time believing later in life.
Each week it's important the kids experience God. Whether by His Word, or His power; we purposely make a place where they have an opportunity to know God intimately. Kids are a priority in our church family, and we believe it's a privilege to be and serve with them each week.

COMPASSION
Sunday 4th January
This Sunday the kids ages 7-10 reenacted Matthew 20:29-34. ….”Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately the received their sight and followed him.”
After the teaching, the kids really got into it and talked about how they individually could show compassion in their everyday life. It was great to hear each one of them and how the Lord showed them each personally how they could be compassionate.
The kids had small red paper hearts. On these hearts they wrote something regarding someone in their life they need to show compassion to. (Most of them, if not all picked someone in their own household.) Once they wrote it down, they were to go home and give the red paper heart to that person and let them know they would show compassion towards them.
Red Compassion Bucket
Some kids chose to take home the “Red Compassion Bucket”. This bucket does not have to be filled but does need to be returned on Sunday to give someone else a turn to take it home. In the bucket they could put canned food, shoes and socks they don’t wear anymore, a toy……..whatever they feel led to put in the bucket is what they should put in it.
Our verse for the week:
Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

CHILDRENS TESTIMONY
One of the mothers in our church wrote us to give us testimony about her children and how they have been getting to know Jesus more and more.
"We were at a fountain at the mall, and my little boy threw his money in the fountain and prayed that Jesus would give him more power and blessings. We also were on our way up to the mountains, and the kids prayed asking Jesus to help them not be scared while going up the mountain, and neither of them were scared after praying! Both times the kids did this, there were several people around them, and it didnt matter, it was as normal as day for them to do. Also, my little girl had a scratch last night, and the pain went away right away, and she told me that Jesus was taking care of her ouchie!"
