Outreach
Outreach is an important ministry at the YLV.
This ministry just continues to grow. So much continues to happen that most of the time we feel like we're trying to keep up. But the Lord continues to mark our steps and we know it's Him thats putting all this together. The journey has been amazing, but its also just the beginning. The need is great, but we have a God that holds all resource!
Our warehouse is great and is now set up for food outreach, but its not big enough, but we are moving in September to larger space! We also believe that in order for the church to be 'healthy' we must have the Kingdom principle of including others into what God is doing among us. Each month, we have various outreaches that take place and you're welcome to come participate.
When we head out time & again we've seen physical and emotional healings take place, as well as salvations. It's the kingdom of God at work!
So many new Outreach things are happening, and it’s been amazing to watch things unfold! If you want to see God's power change lives--come visit & help us reach out to our communities!

WHAT'S NEW...
We have another Placentia Food & Clothing giveaway coming in May. Our first one we did in October was amazing! We fed over 300 people and gave away racks of clothing... So be sure to drop off any clothing at the YLV offices.

Women's Shelter- We held our first outreach to the Placentia Women's shelter-- It was an awesome & such a privilege to share in these people's lives.. We're waiting to hear on the next date. If you want to participate- talk with Denise Hall.
FOOD OUTREACH
This is so incredible how this is happening! We feel like the Lord has been telling us to go to the people, so we started praying about where to go. Two places have come about just by driving by and seeing the need. Both places we've had an overwhelming response. So here we go...
Bag of Hope- LA
Takes place every third Saturday. We take the prepared lunches and hand out in the LA area. Went from feeding around 20 to now 300-500 each trip. Awesome time of ministry!

[Check back for January's date] We'll be making sandwiches, placking bags and heading out to give it all away in the Placentia area. Come join us!

Bag it Party!
The week prior we do the Bag it Party to prepare the lunches for the following weekend. If you're unable to head out to the outreach, this is the perfect opportunity to still participate! We prepare and pray over every lunch.

Lakeview Food Outreach- [On Break]
Takes place Wednesday mornings. There are many men that wait for work off Lakeview; so its become the perfect opportunity to meet a need that God revealed to us. We meet at the YLV offices at 9:00a, bag some groceries to give them all away. We also minister to the men at this outreach as well.

7-11 Food Giveaway
Each day at noon we get the 'overage' at 7-11. We get bags of sandwiches, etc which is given away everyday. We need some help with this outreach since its everyday. You can get the food and take it to the various places you may know is in need. We have several different places the food has been going too.

What’s Coming....
Placentia Park Party!
This will be our second park party in Placentia where we’ve been handing out food this last year. This will be a time of worship, handing out food, face painting & games for the kids! Got Ideas? Come to the next Outreach meeting, Feb. 3.

Sunrise Retirement Home Outreach - Friday Mornings [2x's month]
This has been great! We worship and offer to pray for the people each week. We minister twice a month at Sunrise Center in Yorba Linda. If you would like to join us, email the church and we'll give you more details.

Orange County Jail Ministry
The next meeting will be in April This will be our final meeting before we set the dates/which jails we'll be visiting.
We had our meeting with the head person that oversees all of Orange County jails and it went amazingly! We have 14 people waiting for approval; and we should hear back in the next few weeks. We will have access to all 5 jails, which is what we're most excited about. Being able to break into teams and minister throughout the system to the various people is what we're most looking forward too.

Treasure Hunts
A few times a month we gather to pray and then head out to find the people we feel like the Lord has shown us to pray for. Look on our online calendar to find when the next one is scheduled for June.
