What is U.H.O.P.?
United House Of Prayer is a place of presence worship, prayer, and action. God is doing a major work in this unique moment in history... and we believe that we are called to be a part of what He is doing through prayer, fasting, and going deeper into intimacy with Jesus.
As a church, our slogan (if you will) is "Called to Christ, Called to His Church, Called to His Cause." We believe this also carries over into our house of prayer:
Called to Christ: UHOP is a place to sit at His feet and listen to His voice through listening prayer, studying of His word, and by soaking in His presence (Luke 10:38-42). It is a place to focus on His beauty through silent worship - meditating on the different aspects of who He is: God as father, king, the person of Jesus as a man, bridegroom, judge, etc... (Philippians 4:8) It is a place to worship Him whether it be by ourselves (Song of Songs 2:14), or in a corporate setting (Ps. 149:1) - Through music: singing a new song, prophetic worship, releasing new sounds creatively - Through art: painting, drawing, writing prophetically (spirit inspired) - Through movement: dancing, bowing down, lifting hands, etc...
Called to His Church: UHOP is committed to pray for the Yorba Linda Vineyard, the Church in Orange County, the Church in America, and the International Church (Is 56:6-7). We try to be as specific as possible, covering our leadership teams and their families, specific ministries, any specific prayer requests, and for breakthrough. In general, we pray for the Church from Revelation 2&3 and John 17:
- That she would "Remember her first love..." Revelation 2:4
- That she would "Not tolerate that woman Jezebel..." Revelation 2:20
- That she would "Wake Up..." Revelation 3:2
- That she would "Be on fire..." Revelation 3:16
- That she would "Be repentent..." Revelation 2-3
- That there would be unity in the people and with God - John 17:11
- That Joy would be released - John 17:13
- That God would protect her morally and physically against demonic activity - John 17:15
- That she would receive revelation through the words of God and a passion for the Word - John 17:17
- Pray for those whose salvations she will see - John 17:20-21
- That she would receive revelation of the Father's love, to love as the Father loves - John 17:26
Called to His Cause: What is His cause? "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." (Matthew 9:12) Jesus came to restore relationship, health, and righteousness. We are committed to pray for our government - local, state, and national (2 Chronicles 7:11-22). We are also called to social justice (Isaiah 56:1-2), by praying for the ending of abortion, human trafficking, the restoration of marriage and family (Malachi 4:5-6), the breaking off of cultural and generational mindsets, the entertainment industry, etc...
