United House Of Prayer

What is U.H.O.P.?

United House Of Prayer is a place of presence worship, prayer, and action. Twice a month, we open up our prayer room for a 24-hour period and gather together for an extended time of worship and prayer. God is doing a major work in this unique moment in history... and we believe that we are called to be a part of what He is doing through prayer, fasting, and going deeper into intimacy with Jesus.

As a church, our slogan (if you will) is "Called to Christ, Called to His Church, Called to His Cause." We believe this also carries over into our house of prayer:

Called to Christ: UHOP is a place to sit at His feet and listen to His voice through listening prayer, studying of His word, and by soaking in His presence (Luke 10:38-42). It is a place to focus on His beauty through silent worship - meditating on the different aspects of who He is: God as father, king, the person of Jesus as a man, bridegroom, judge, etc... (Philippians 4:8) It is a place to worship Him whether it be by ourselves (Song of Songs 2:14), or in a corporate setting (Ps. 149:1) - Through music: singing a new song, prophetic worship, releasing new sounds creatively - Through art: painting, drawing, writing prophetically (spirit inspired) - Through movement: dancing, bowing down, lifting hands, etc...

Called to His Church: UHOP is committed to pray for the Yorba Linda Vineyard, the Church in Orange County, the Church in America, and the International Church (Is 56:6-7). We try to be as specific as possible, covering our leadership teams and their families, specific ministries, any specific prayer requests, and for breakthrough. In general, we pray for the Church from Revelation 2&3 and John 17:

  • That she would "Remember her first love..." Revelation 2:4
  • That she would "Not tolerate that woman Jezebel..." Revelation 2:20
  • That she would "Wake Up..." Revelation 3:2
  • That she would "Be on fire..." Revelation 3:16
  • That she would "Be repentent..." Revelation 2-3
  • That there would be unity in the people and with God - John 17:11
  • That Joy would be released - John 17:13
  • That God would protect her morally and physically against demonic activity - John 17:15
  • That she would receive revelation through the words of God and a passion for the Word - John 17:17
  • Pray for those whose salvations she will see - John 17:20-21
  • That she would receive revelation of the Father's love, to love as the Father loves - John 17:26

Called to His Cause: What is His cause? "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." (Matthew 9:12) Jesus came to restore relationship, health, and righteousness. We are committed to pray for our government - local, state, and national (2 Chronicles 7:11-22). We are also called to social justice (Isaiah 56:1-2), by praying for the ending of abortion, human trafficking, the restoration of marriage and family (Malachi 4:5-6), the breaking off of cultural and generational mindsets, the entertainment industry, etc...

What should I expect?

Expect to be blown away by the Holy Spirit! When we make a place for Him, He is faithful to show up.

We are open from 7am to 7am and different people come when they can. Sometimes there may be only one person there, at other times, there could be 20!

We try to have worship music playing during the entire 24-hour period. If there is no one there to play live music, there is a cd player in the room you are welcome to. You will find a selection of cds to choose from. Just pop one in and have a go!

If you have a word or picture or prophecy that you would like to share with us, you can write/draw it in the notebook you will find in the prayer room entitled "24-Hour Prayer."

Along the same lines, we encourage worship through the creative arts. You may see people painting, drawing, scribbling madly, singing, or dancing.

From 7-9pm, we do a live Harp & Bowl session. If you are unfamiliar with this, the name "Harp & Bowl" is taken from Revelation 5:8, which describes the elders before the throne with harps (representing worship with music) and a bowls of incense (representing the prayer of God’s people). Put simply, it is worship and intercession happening simultaneously.

Where do you meet?

You can find us at the Yorba Linda Vineyard offices which are located at:

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

While we do encourage freedom, we ask that you be considerate of others.

"Everything is permissible" - but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible" - but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. - 1 Corinthians 10:23-24

  • Please limit conversations while in the prayer room.
  • Please keep your cell phone on silent, and exit the prayer room if you need to answer your calls.
  • Please do not leave food and/or beverages in the prayer room. They are both welcome, but we do ask that you please be mindful and clean up after yourself.
  • Flags, banners, musical instruments, and dancing are welcome in the prayer room, but please be mindful of others. We don't want any casualties!

As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. You can ask one of our staff members, or email Katy at .

This is awesome! How can I get involved?

Step number one of involvement is showing up! The prayer room is open to everyone. Check the "Menu" section of our website to find out when we are meeting next.
